Generous Funders Make Arena Roof Dream Come True!
The North Shore Riding for the Disabled Charitable Trust’s major fund-raising project for the past 18 months has been the Arena Roof. The Trust greatly appreciates the very generous grants that have been received. A huge thank you to New Zealand Community Trust, Lottery Grants Board, Pub Charity Limited, North and South Trust, Foundation North, and a number of private donors for their grants and donations amounting to $471,000!

Without these funders agreeing to support the project, the long time dream of all those involved in the North Shore RDA would not have been realised.
Our planned Smart Shelter roof
The contribution of $160K from North Shore Riding for the Disabled's Charitable Trust itself, provided the balance required, allowing The Trust to proceed to the design stage and the Building Consent process.
It is expected that the Building Consent will be approved by Council soon and production of the customised arena roof will then start. Installation will be timed for a school holiday period when the arena is not being used.
Having a covered arena roof finally means our riders can ride in all weather conditions.
