Roxy came to us in March 2020 as an 18-year-old 14hh paint pony. We purchased her, along with Cruise as one of our Westfield local hero horses, with the $10,000 prize money that our long time volunteer Annette won. 

Her previous owner visited her many times at the barn, brought her treats on her birthday and was thrilled at how well she looked and how good she became in our programme.

Roxy was with us for just over 3 years and during that time became an important part of the team with her gentle nature and versatile size.

 

In 2023, after experiencing significant amounts of degenerative pain, a necessary but difficult decision was made to retire her after the first term of this year. We thoroughly spoilt her and made lots of fuss of her in Term 2 as she enjoyed watching the programme from her stall. 

We will all miss Roxy in our horse team.
