Would you like your child to spend some time with horses?
At North Shore Riding for the Disabled, we will have spaces for new riders in 2024. We can provide riding for children with a wide range of different disabilities.
Our experienced volunteers can help riders with physical disabilities as well as a range of spectrum disorders. Horses exude a calming energy which can also be hugely beneficial for children experiencing anxiety.
We have a small waiting list but move through it quite quickly with most of our riders riding for up to four terms before they then go back onto the waiting list.
All our riders require medical consent to ride; however, they can be referred to us by a parent or guardian as well as medical professionals. To maintain the required health and safety guidelines, we can only accept riders who are 50kg or under.
