Who We Are

North Shore Group Riding for the Disabled Inc, founded in 1975, is a community based voluntary organisation welcoming clients from across the North Shore and Rodney District.  Our riders are usually referred to us through the health and education systems, although some do come to us following a personal recommendation.

 

We are a not-for-profit organisation and operate from an 18-acre facility “Willow Farm” in Aubrey Road, Stillwater, where we ride during all four school terms on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.  

 

Our wonderful staff and volunteers organise and support every aspect of the riding sessions, help to maintain the buildings and land and manage the health of the horses.  We do not receive any government funding, but rely totally on grants, donations from the public and riding donations.
