On Saturday the 22nd of June 2024, a group of seven children from Immerse, accompanied by their buddies came to spend the day at NSRDA. Eight years ago Alice was the proud owner and rider of Missie.  They competed most weekends and hacked out on the farm during the week, then for no apparent reason she suffered a catastrophic medical event resulting in 2 strokes and a completely changed life.

Long time volunteer, Sue Cammell reflects on her time with NSRDA and how settled NSRDA is at present, with an active committee, solid team of staff, and great volunteers.   Sue leaves us at the end of July to move south to Queenstown to be nearer to her adult children and their families where she and husband Alistair will continue to provide helpful support.  We will miss your energy Sue, as well your knowledge and wise consideration.

Term two has been a fantastic riding term for us, with our new sheltered arena roof in use and also some reasonable weather conditions, allowing our Riders to get maximum benefit.

We've also made great progress on improvements to our facilities for riders and volunteers, plus our Governance team have put in a lot of work to prepare us to talk with local businesses about financial sponsorship opportunities.  More on this within the newsletter.
