A Call for a New, Smaller Friend
While we’re grateful for the big-hearted horses like Charlie, we’re also looking for a smaller, narrower horse for our younger, lighter riders. Our beloved little horse Lenny, who has supported many young riders, is reaching retirement age. It’s time for Lenny to enjoy well-deserved days in the paddock, resting and grazing.
If you know of a suitable smaller horse for sale or one that could be kindly lent to NSRDA, we would be incredibly grateful.
With a new friend to support our youngest riders, we can continue to provide safe, supportive experiences for every rider at NSRDA.
All our ponies are happy and healthy, and I’m sure looking forward to their well deserved holidays. They are all doing well with the equitation science training, ponies and people learning lots of new skills. Our latest edition Cruise is really coming on, he’s our star pupil when it comes to the training and what can be achieved with consistency.

We have a couple of new kids on the block on trial, Star a 20 year dark bay, he has been a much loved family pony, his owner wants star to be loved and used as he was just sitting in the paddock at home. Piko a 17 year-old Clydie cross, ex hunter been there done it type, his owner wants him to be pampered and loved. Everything crossed these guys work out 🤞
