Welcome to our latest newsletter!
We have all been enjoying the great weather at NSRDA this term and we have not had to cancel any of our days riding thanks to the dry conditions and the arena cover and we have a new project about to start at the end of term.
At the end of the term, once we head into our holiday period, we will begin a new construction project to build 6 new outside stalls for our horses, 4 up the track towards the arena, and 2 inside the arena.
This will enable us to keep the horses in stalls outside the barn, and if we need to stable them overnight to keep them off the paddocks during wet weather they will all have an outside stall to keep them sheltered and dry.
We would like to say a huge thank you to the family of the late Jesse Montgomery for a very generous bequest which will cover the cost of this project. They have also said they would like to help us to purchase an all terrain vehicle (ATV) to use around our farm. This would make feeding out hay, poo picking, repairing fences etc all so much easier, quicker and safer given the terrain can be tricky underfoot at times.
