Our Charitable Trust
The structure of North Shore Riding for the Disabled consists of two core parts: The North Shore RDA Incorporated Society, an affiliated group within the New Zealand Riding for the Disabled Association, and the North Shore RDA Charitable Trust, which owns the land and buildings at Aubrey Road from which the North Shore RDA Inc operates.
The North Shore RDA Charitable Trust was formed as a condition of the ASB Foundation’s grant to purchase the land in 2000 and is governed by a Deed of Trust. The Deed defines the Roles and Responsibilities of the elected Trustees of which there must not be less than four and the selected group of Trustees must include the Chairman, Treasurer and Secretary of the North Shore RDA Inc Society.
The purpose of the Trust is defined by the objects of the Deed but its primary purpose is in owning and maintaining the land and facilities that enable the Incorporated Society to best deliver its therapeutic riding services to the community of North Shore and Rodney Districts.
